Preah Khan Temple Contained 60 Tons of Gold


Preah Khan temple​ was constructed in 1191. It contained 60 tons of gold ($3.3bn), says BBC report on 23 September. This secret revealed by new technology of scanner called Lidar.


Lidar is a new laser scanner mounted on helicopter. Lidar uses millions of laser beams in the ground surface, and found many unidentified temples around Angkor city, and infrastructure of the city. (Source: BBC)
